Hi, I’m Sally!
A photographer, writer and freelance creative from outer Melbourne near the edge of the gorgeous Yarra Valley, and wife and mum to two wonderful adult sons.
Since I was a little girl I’ve had a camera in my hand, a whisk or wooden spoon in the other and a curious mind and heart. My love of cooking and photography began at my grandmother’s side and has never waivered. My time to enjoy those two passions has been stretched over the years but always simmered beneath the surface.
In 2015 an ad for CLG caught my eye, and I was off again. With my teenage boys rarely available as models, I turned to still life - specifically food. What started as an unintentional ‘meet-cute’ with food photography has blossomed into a long-term relationship, taking me places I never imagined.
Since then, I’ve photographed a cookbook, worked on commercial shoots, had a photo featured in a national magazine, created content for food bloggers, and documented my own food adventures in a weekly newsletter and blog.
Through food photography I rediscovered my writing voice, and it led me to work on wide-release cookbook shoots - experiences I never could have dreamed of.
I can’t wait to ignite your interest in food photography and grow your skills to record your own food memories.
Sally xx
