This past week our Enthusiast Photography Course students took another big step towards shooting in full manual mode when they learnt how to control blur in their photos! Shutter speed is the key, and it’s one of the three elements of the exposure triangle.
This lesson challenge is always our most popular, as voted by a poll of thousands of graduates…true story! Students are sent out to experiment with shutter speed, taking notice of how it controls both blur and their exposure. The challenge brief asks them to produce two images – one that freezes motion and one that captures it, whilst keeping in mind all they have learned to date about light and composition, to ensure the resulting images are also beautifully lit, balanced and engaging.
Over in our Advanced Photography Course students are sinking their teeth into some fun lessons on photo editing, as they learn how to enhance their images in both colour and black & white without the use of presets or actions.
Last but definitely not least, peppered in among our student images is some delicious work from some of our graduates!
