Beach light can be equally as challenging as it is beautiful. In fact, it was the subject of our very first Creative Workshop series – Beautiful Beach Light with Merissa Wakefield, which wrapped up earlier this month.

And I’m so pleased to share it was a HUGE success!

Merissa is the principal photographer at Merissa Wakefield Photography, and specialises in beach light photography. So students learned from the best how to shoot in full sun, the golden hour, the blue hour, and creative light techniques.

The best bit was the skills they learned could be applied anywhere, in any location. So students who live in a landlocked area could head to their nearest open field and give it a go!

We were blown away by their commitment to throw themselves into every lesson and nail the techniques. So we’re celebrating their achievements by sharing ten of our favourite images… and rest assured they are a drop in the ocean of the many, many beautiful photos shared throughout the workshop!
