Have you ever kayaked across a lake full of trees?

No, me neither… until Mother’s Day this weekend just gone!  Gorgeous Australian friends who also live here in the US invited us to visit them at their their campsite at a local Statepark in Georgia about 1.5hrs from Savannah.  They tucked us into their canoe and pushed us out onto the lake to explore a gorgeous area we’d never visited before!

I almost left my camera in the car… my hubby crying ‘you can’t bring that’.. but oh boy I’d have kicked myself if I didn’t!

So in my new resolve to share more of this part of the world with you, and to get back on my horse camera here is our view of the lake today!  So pretty!  All taken on my Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L Lens, which I find the most versatile when travelling and out on day trips when I just want to use one lens!
