We LOVE sharing our CLG Grad Stories with you… we’re so lucky to have some of the most lovely and amazing women as part of our community AND talented to boot!
Our Click Love Grow Story this week is shared by Humera, Julie, Annik, Laurel, Zara and Veraine, all Click Love Grow graduates from the beautiful state of Western Australia.
Julie said “Humera was the driver behind the meeting, suggesting an initial date and location and working with everyone to get things happening. The event was Cottesloe Beach’s ‘Sculptures by the Sea,’ perfect for photography. It’s held annually but it was my first visit. I travelled 2 hours to get there as I didn’t want to miss the opportunity. My biggest concern was finding everyone as there were so many people, but I found Laurel and we eventually found everyone else, Click Love Grow is such a lovely group to be involved with!”

“It was lovely to finally meet some of the ladies from the group and put a face to a name” said Veraine. “I really appreciated the company of ‘like-minded’ people with the same passion as mine…photography.
Funnily when we were sharing our photos on FB, we discovered we all had taken an almost identical shot (no doubt many tourists with have a similar one, but none so good as ours…haha!)”.

Laurel said “I enjoyed putting names to faces. I was unable to view all the sculptures as I was time strapped, but saw quite a few in my 4 hours there. It was fascinating listening to different views on how to take photos of certain objects. We all spent a lot of time at the sculpture in the middle image trying to get a photo that showed its actual size and colour”.

Last but definitely not least, Humera told us “The best part about the catch up was obviously getting to know my fellow CLGers better, and having a day out with like minded people. I usually have to go out alone with my camera if I want to shoot anything, so it was one of the best days to shoot with fellow creative souls, and it was really nice to see everyone especially Julie and her mum, who drove for 2 hours! Thanks Julie! ❤
After everyone left, Annik took me to the famous secret garden near her home and we two continued the great afternoon, taking photos of a swamp!”.
