Storytelling Photography
Storytelling photography is a fantastic way to engage your online audience.
We already know the most effective way to share our products and/or our services is visually with gorgeous photos. But to really build strong relationships and a rapport with your audience, you need to put yourself in the spotlight.
Tell a Story!
Storytelling photography is a great way to do this. As a bonus, it’s also a fun way to record your own family’s daily life and special events.

What to Capture
Whilst you can include words, the goal is to create a storyboard that can stand alone and tell the story without words.
One of the most important shots is at least one wide shot for context. Without this shot, all the detail shots will make no sense.
The Sweet Details
You need to consider all the elements of the activity, not just the scene before you.
Take in every detail you can see and capture them all.
Composition
Vary your photos by shooting from different angles. Try shooting from behind looking down over their shoulder, from above, get down low, and at eye level.
From all angles, take both close and wide shots and you’ll ensure a larger gallery to choose from without moving locations.
Be Authentic
Observe without interrupting to capture moments authentically. As a bonus, this method ensures your subjects will stay involved a lot longer!
Also, try shooting around doorways to convey an intimate feel.
