Great article! I was just wondering why you resize to 5×7?

      Hi Jodi,

Great question! The reason I resize to 5×7 is a habit now… but when I was shooting for clients, I always cropped that way because the smaller print size Ioffered was 5×7… I didn’t sell 4x6s as it was too small. The other reason is because 5×7 is similar crop to 8 x 10 (or I prefer 8×12) and so if you enlarge from an image thats been cropped at a ratio of 4×6 you need to remove a fair bit from the image to have it fit (it’s a little more square) whereas 5×7 doesn’t need to.

Hope that makes sense, and thankyou – I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
