Here in Savannah the heat has been turned way UP (and incidentally so has the frizz level of my hair), and we’ve been enjoying the most delicious thick and heavy afternoon rains with dramatic claps of thunder and the occasional streak of lightening!
When we arrive home from school my youngest always like to collect the mail, and I told her she didn’t have to step out in the wet… but sometimes the allure of fat heavy rain is too much, and so out she went!
I love the sweet curiosity, that was short lived as the thunder hit and she ran for cover!
Perfect Portrait Combination
Taken on my 135mm f/2 lens (always my fave for gorgeous portraits) I realised ‘hey, I should be using this gorgeous front yard of mine a little more’… so as it cleared I coaxed her out again.. because if there’s one thing we’ve learnt about light it’s that cloudy overcast days are PERFECT for softly lit portraits!
Remember keep that camera close, because even the briefest moments can provide sweet memories of our kids and their personalities!
