Advanced Photography Course Customer Stories
We’re celebrating our Advanced Photography Course grads this week, and today I want to introduce you to the lovely Becca Lord-Lyon!
Becca lives in the north west of England with her husband and her beautiful 18 month old daughter Lenox, where she owns a bridal boutique specialising in gowns for plus size brides. She loved working with the professional photographers who captured her gowns, and ultimately it inspired her to take up photography herself.
So she bought a fancy DSLR, and learned how to use it properly through our Enthusiast Photography Course. When she graduated, she had visions in her head of the kind of photos she wanted to take, but her photos (although technically sound), never matched her vision. She also wanted to really push herself and explore more creative concepts, so she joined the Advanced Photography Course in September 2018.
Becca said it really helped her see where she was going wrong, and as a result she totally changed her shooting style and finally started taking the kind of photos she envisioned!
So I had a chat with Becca today to find out how doing the Advanced Course changed her photography. Check it out…
And last but definitely not least… we love a before and after because it’s the best way to show how much the Advanced course elevates our students skills. The first photo was taken by Becca before she started learning photography with us, and the photos that follow are a handful of her favourites – proof that she achieved what she set out to!
Many thanks to Becca for granting us the time to share her story! Go check out her 52 week photo project on insta at Letters to Lenox.
If you’re already shooting in manual mode, on our Advanced Photography Course you will learn to shoot with confidence in any scenario, and push yourself creatively to find and develop your style through intensive 1:1 critique on your work.
