And with that I’d love for you to meet one of our Advanced Photography Course Grads, Amy Philp.

Amy lives in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia with her two sons Benji and Micah.  Since graduating, she’s been working as a professional photographer at Amy Philp Photography.

Read on to learn exactly how our Advanced Course helped her achieve her photography goals.

What led you to do The Advanced Photography Course?

I had been photographing for brands and growing my Instagram account for around a year prior to signing up to the advanced course. I was so focused on photographing for brands that I’d stopped exploring anything creative. So I began feeling frustrated with my knowledge of photography in general and wanted to learn how to edit and be more creative.

The Click Love Grow Advanced Photography Course was perfect and exactly what I needed.

How did it impact your photos?

My photos really improved creatively and my technical skills are so much more advanced than they were previously, which also shows in my photos.

What has it meant for your photography goals?

I didn’t plan to go into business with photography. I simply enjoyed it and it came along at the perfect time… I needed a hobby!

However, it led to me starting Amy Philp Photography, and I have photographed weddings, families, pregnant mamas, births and new babies.

What was your favourite part of the course?

I loved that I was learning mum to mum, and the videos and resources were really easy to understand.

But the best part is the continued community. I LOVE being able to connect with the CLG team of instructors and other Grads in our Grad’s Group.

I’ve met women I now call friends, that I can turn to for advice and support, and this has made it invaluable.

 

Would you recommend the course?

The course is an investment, but I was committed to growing my skills.

I would honestly say that it is worth every cent and more.

It’s invaluable if you want to take quality images, and I am still benefiting from it to this day.

Where is she now?

It’s been 6 years since Amy undertook the Advanced Course. Her photography business is flourishing, and she opened a studio where she captures newborn and maternity portraits.

To this day she is still a valued and engaged member of our community. She’s hosted a Creative Workshop for us all about weddings, and is in the process of creating her second, which shares her secrets for capturing timeless, studio style newborn portraits.
